Atlanta Mission 5K Race to End Homelessness - Run in the Cold for Those Who Sleep in the Cold

Atlanta Mission 5K Race to End Homelessness

There are thousands of men, women, and children in Metro Atlanta who face the perilous conditions of winter without a roof over their heads. Your registration fee for the race* will cover one night of shelter and services for someone who would otherwise spend the night in the cold, on the streets.

February 17, 2024 at 8:30 AM
Pemberton Place Greenspace (virtual option available)

The in-person race is one of the last Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifiers before registration opens for the 2024 AJC Peachtree Road Race. The course is USATF Certified (GA17079WC).

Atlanta Mission empowers those experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. We are the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to homeless men, women, and children, operating four shelter campuses in Metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia.

Your registration fee for the race will cover one night of shelter and services for someone who would otherwise spend the night in the cold, on the streets.

Miles for Hope Challenge

We’re giving every 5K participant (in person and virtual) an opportunity to advocate for those who would otherwise sleep in the cold through fundraising. And to take it a step further, we’re making this a fundraising challenge called Miles for Hope! Each race participant who raises $250 or $500 through their individual fundraising page (not team page) will receive exclusive 5K merch as a thank you for the support.

Why fundraise?

Fundraising is not just a one-time event. The collective impact made through fundraising goes far beyond the race. Each dollar raised is a beacon of light for our vulnerable neighbors who are struggling this winter season.

When you participate in our 5K race and take one more action through fundraising, you become an integral part of the journey toward a brighter future for those we serve. Here is how your support provides hope at Atlanta Mission:

PHYSICAL NEEDS

You help provide safe shelter, warm meals, and services

SPIRITUAL WALK

You help open the door for us to share the love of Christ

MENTAL HEALTH

You help them heal through our trauma-informed care

HEALTHY RAPPORT

You help give our clients a safe space to build community

STABLE LIVING

You help empower them through vocational training

Are you up for the challenge? Register today and customize your page to share with your friends and family. Thank you for being our advocate and bringing hope and restoration to those we serve. Happy fundraising!
