He has a strong operational background generating innovative solutions to both granular and expansive global challenges.
Joseph has a BA in Religious Education from Reformed Bible College, an MA in education from Wheaton College, and an MA in organizational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. He and his wife, Mary, raised three children on three continents and are happy to make their home now in the Atlanta area.
“In spending time with Joseph, it became very clear of his passion for Christ, his love for people, his heart for the poor, his strength as a leader, his passion for building teams and his ability to leverage all of these to achieve great results,” said Jim Reese, President/CEO at Atlanta Mission. “He and his family have lived their entire lives with a heart to serve and a desire to have an impact.”
“I love seeing people involved in the heart of what God is doing”, explains Owens, “and that’s the same thing I see happening at Atlanta Mission. In Atlanta we have a community that is intimately connected with the Lord’s will; a community reaching those in great need with the Gospel—spoken and lived out, hour by hour. I want to help this community flourish.”
