Make a difference in the lives of kids experiencing homelessness

Back to School Mission

Thousands of students in Atlanta are getting ready to head back to school, but for some, this time isn’t easy.

The average elementary school student experiencing homelessness missed

88 days of school last year.

That’s because they didn’t receive the basic necessities to thrive in school.

Help Fund Our On-Site Preschool

We're in need of $235,000 to keep our on-site preschool running this year. This preschool provides kids a safe environment to learn and play.

Stories of Impact

We'd love to send you stories of the children whose lives you are changing as well as updates about what Atlanta Mission is doing in your community.

Caring for Kids Experiencing Homelessness

We do everything possible to give boys and girls experiencing homelessness a chance to be a kid, just like every child deserves. The younger kids have access to childcare and an early learning curriculum. Older kids get backpacks, school supplies, and tutors. We also provide them with spiritual growth and fun activities like field trips and summer camp — just like other kids get to enjoy.

Hope

Called by God to serve the city of Atlanta.

Since our 1938 beginnings, Atlanta Mission has grown from a small soup kitchen to a multi-facility organization serving Metro Atlanta’s large homeless population. Today, we serve more than 1,000 homeless men, women, and children every day.

We meet each person where they are, in their unique circumstances, to provide customized services and help them overcome the cause of their homelessness.
