Hope in uncertain times

Updated on March 31, 2020

As Atlanta Mission continues to care for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness amidst concerns of COVID-19, the health and safety of our staff and clients are our top priority. We are continuously taking proactive measures in adherence with CDC and Department of Health guidelines. We are confronting these uncertain times as a community united.

Now more than ever, we recognize that hope, the support of our community, and our trust in God will ultimately sustain us. We invite you to join us on this journey of hope.

What We're doing

  • We are continuing to serve the more than 600 individuals who are currently residing in our shelters and are taking an abundance of precaution in all areas in accordance with CDC and the DPH guidelines.
  • We will continue to deep clean the campuses throughout the day and are educating our clients on proper hygiene and cleaning protocols.
  • Atlanta Mission staff are pivoting to critical duties in order to ensure all clients needs are met.
  • In adherence with CDC recommendations concerning social distancing, we have suspended all volunteering on our campuses.
  • We have temporarily closed all of our thrift stores in an effort to protect our community and in keeping with the shelter-in-place orders in many Georgia counties.
