, before we begin our interview, I want to make sure you have a clear understanding of what our campus is like. Here are a few things you can expect as part of the programming at The Potter’s House.

1. We have classes each morning and work assignments on campus each afternoon, Monday-Friday. Work Assignments will be something like housekeeping, kitchen, landscape, etc.

2. We will utilize the 12 steps as a foundation for your recovery. This will include some intensive writing assignments, potentially more writing than you have done since you were in school last. As part of these 12 steps, we do ask you to commit to not pursuing any NEW romantic relationships during your first 12 months in recovery. 

3. The Potter’s House is a nicotine-free campus. We require all of our clients to refrain from nicotine use while in the program. 

4. We utilize faith-based programming. With this we don’t have any expectation of clients to be at any point on their journey of faith by the beginning or end of their time with us, it just means we will talk about God a lot. 

5. The first 6 months of our programming are focused on creating structure and giving opportunity for you to focus on yourself. Because of this, you won’t have a job off-campus or a cell phone in your possession for the first 6 months. You will also not be eligible to have a vehicle on campus during these 6 months nor until you are able to sustainably pay for insurance with your employment.

6. Clients are not permitted to have visitors onsite.

7. Lastly, , with this phone interview, I am trying to get an idea of what is currently going on in your life, as well as your drug use, health, and legal history; so I will be asking some questions to guide that process. I encourage you to be as open and upfront with the information as possible, as we use the phone interview to determine your eligibility into the program, as well as your continued participation in the program.

For all clients earning income while they are with us, we will charge a program fee of 30% expendable income, not to exceed $400/mo.
