Highlighting the COVID-19 Heroes

May 31 is National Smile Day and right now, we could all use some smiles.

We have been so encouraged throughout the COVID-19 crisis with the heroes that have stepped up to help. From members of the community dropping off urgent needs or purchasing items on our Amazon List to local businesses providing food and necessary resources, it all makes a huge difference for us. We’ve had food donations, monetary donations, and even donations of Easter baskets and crafts for Mother’s Day.

We wanted to highlight a few of the heroes that have stepped up to help:

  • Sid and Ann Mashburn and Domain Capital Group donated masks for our campuses.
  • The Atlanta Community ToolBank donated 600 masks and 3 boxes of gloves.
  • Wells Fargo gave us a grant to support assistance for unsheltered individuals.
  • Skylines Restaurant Group provided 200 meals.
  • Claudine’s Closet provided Easter baskets for our children and Mt. Paran Church donated items for our children’s Easter baskets.
  • Passion City Church provided communion for all of our campuses.
  • Coca-Cola donated three pallets of Powerade mix.
  • Victory Midtown Church made a large donation of non-perishables and other urgently needed supplies.
  • Atlanta Track Club donated Powerade and snacks.
  • Kid-operated business, T&N Bowties and Apparel have fundraised over $1,800. You can read about their mission and products here.
  • The following provided meals for our campuses: Chick-Fil-A Peachtree Center, Chick-Fil-A West Midtown, The Varsity, Victory Midtown, Georgia Tech Police, and Firehouse Subs.
  • Free Chapel donated no contact infrared thermometers, board games, and ear thermometer covers.
  • Circle of Sisters donated snacks.
