Make an impact together
We would love to partner with your family, group, church, company or organization to serve at The Potter’s House. One of our Volunteer Engagement team members will work with you personally to develop just the right service opportunity that will be meaningful and impactful for your group and the clients we serve.
Volunteer at Your Location
Looking to serve with a large group at your location? Our Volunteer Engagement Team can create a Serve and Learn opportunity for your organization. A Team Member will visit your location to share about The Potter’s House, Atlanta Mission and the challenges of homelessness, poverty and addiction in our communities. Following the presentation, your group would assemble much-needed resource kits for our clients.
While there is no cost for one of our team to come share, the organization is responsible for providing the kit items to be assembled.
About our onsite group opportunities
- We welcome groups from 5-20 people. If you are bringing less than 5 people, each person may register themselves under the individual tab.
- Opportunities are available Monday–Saturday, with limited Sunday options
- To get started, simply complete our Group Form, and a team member will follow up with you.
Social Activities
We all look forward to special fun events and our clients are no different! Whether it’s an evening event after dinner or on a Saturday, we’ll work with your group to help you plan a movie night, game night, cook-out, sports tournament or other ideas your group may have to bring fun and joy. Social activities during the week occur from 6:30-8:00 pm, while Saturday times are much more flexible.
Night of Worship
Our desire is for clients to know Christ, walk with Christ and live for Christ. We welcome Christian groups to come lead a night of music and prayer.
Graduation Celebrations
As you can imagine, graduation is a very special time for our clients as they celebrate all the hard work they have put into their recovery. Graduation Celebrations happen the 3rd Sunday of every month from 3:00-4:00 pm and your group can be a part of graduations in these ways:
- Sponsor and serve refreshments for clients, staff and guests before and after the graduation.
- Provide worship music during graduation (15 minutes)
