How do you show love to your loved ones? There are many ways we can show love to our neighbors in our Metro Atlanta communities.

But outside of a physical gift, how can you show love to the people you run into each and every day? How can you show love to your friends and neighbors?

Here are three ways we encourage you to love your neighbor today, and every day:

Share a smile

It’s amazing what a smile can do to brighten a person’s day. Think of all of the hard days you’ve had at work, the long commutes home and many other insignificant things that might derail a good day. Think of how much of a difference a smile can have on your life and your mood. Share a smile with your neighbors. 

Small acts of kindness

Giving a friend a compliment, volunteering for an opportunity in your neighborhood or signing up for a charity run that benefits a cause you care about—we happen to know a good one if you’re looking for an opportunity—all of these small acts of kindness can add up overtime to show your community that you care for its members. 

See people as Jesus sees them

This is something we could all probably work on. When we see people how Jesus sees them, we see them only with love in our heart. We treat them as human beings with their own needs, wants and dreams. We don’t just say we love them, but we show them love, and treat them how we would want to be treated. We see a person who is much more than their experiences and so much more than the situation they may be in now. 

When we love like Jesus, and see people as he sees them, we can give people hope. We can meet each person where they are, in their unique circumstances, and transform lives.
