Prayers from our community

Your prayers and encouragement mean so much to the men, women, and children experiencing homelessness.

  • “The Potter’s House brothers and staff.” – Kenneth

  • “Lord, God, I’m coming to You asking for help, blessings, and protection for all who are struggling to find the way to Your divine grace. Lord, we come humbly in Your mighty name to ask for shelter, protection, guidance, and peace during the storms in our lives. Lord, we know that Your Love and mercy are boundless. We ask that You guide us through our trials and bless us to overcome the enemy and the addictions, illness, poverty, and lowly feelings that the enemy brings. God, You told us to “resist satan and he shall flee”. Bless us to recognize the mighty power we have through You, Lord. Bless us every step of the way. Bless us to know that there is NO DEFEAT WHERE WE PLANT OUR FEET because we are the mighty children of the MOST HIGH GOD. Through Your Son Jesus’ name we pray. Thank You, Father God. Amen 🙏” – Azia

  • “The women who are victims of abuse, the men dealing with recovery, the mom and child looking to move into their own (home) apartment, the dad estranged from his kids.” – Bailey

  • “I’ll be praying for you and your family. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”” – Andrea

  • “I’m praying for broken families– that God restores them completely according to His perfect will. Also for those who are struggling financially but believing God for breakthrough–that they experience boat-sinking, net-breaking financial abundance. In Jesus, Amen. ” – Jamelle

  • “I’m praying for wholeness and total restoration for all those in need. May you have complete peace and stability of mind. Isaiah 26:3-4 Perfect peace. Shalom. Nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken” – Alicia

  • “I’m praying for the father who is estranged from his kids, and for all of the sons of God who feel fallen in spirit. I pray that the men know the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, and that they follow His footsteps closely. I pray that men understand that even though they may stumble the Lord calls you to never stay down, let the Lord be your strength. Do not believe the lie that you can not be a great leader. With Jesus Christ as your guide, you are capable of leading your children and their mother as Christ leads the church. I pray that the Lord delivers you, strengthens you, and instructs you on your next first step. I pray that the blood of Jesus covers all of his sons, that they put on the full armor of God, and that their lamps are filled with the holy oil! You are never alone, you are never without hope. Your presence is needed, and though you may not feel worthy, in Christ you are sanctified and made worthy! Seek His righteousness and all will follow. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen!” – Cassandra

  • “I’m praying for all of the mothers who are leading their children, whilst having to heal and learn to follow Christ at the same time. I pray that the Lord shines His face on all who call out to Him with a pure heart, as He says He will! I pray that the mothers’ hearts are healed from past hurts in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray that the Lord demonstrates His eternal faithfulness to all of the mothers and that the mothers’ love for Christ and for their child never runs dry as they drink from His eternally flowing fountain. I pray that the mothers remember the promise of eternal life waiting for them and their children when this life is over. I pray that the mothers’ lamps are filled with the holy oil. I pray that the Lord strengthens the mothers to pick up their cross each day. I pray that the Lord fights the mothers’ battles on their behalf. Blessed be the mothers who sacrifice their comfort for their children, even when their hearts are weary and their body is weakened. The Lord is close to you, and He sees you and the love you’ve shown. What’s waiting for you in heaven is worth more than any treasure of this world. You will have your reward! I pray the blood of Jesus covers you and your children in the name of Jesus Christ, and that He clothes you with the full armor of God. I pray that the Lord’s angels surround and protect you and your children, that you may be safe wherever you go! Praise Him in everything, and you will disarm the enemy! In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.” – Anonymous

In the Name of Jesus.” – Lynne

  • “I am praying for the women who are victims of abuse. My heart and prayers are with you. I myself am a survivor of domestic abuse. Although I was 18/19 years old, to make it alive is a blessing. I want to let you guys know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. He is with you at all times. It may feel as if He is not answering your prayers, but God is always on time. Never give up. My prayers are not just for abused women; I can relate to them so much that I just want them to know that they are not alone. No one is alone, God is always next to you. It may seem hard or feels like it is taking forever, but never lose faith nor trust in God. I pray everyday that I will be able to continue to help my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray for the mental, physical, emotional, and financial health of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Your prayers will soon be testimonies. If needed, here is the Lord’s prayer: “Our Father who arts in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this, our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”” – Azaria
