Beautiful Curly Me Donates Books and Dolls to My Sister’s House

At just age eight, Zoe has done more than most girls her age. Zoe is the CEO and founder of Beautiful Curly Me, a company aimed at encouraging young girls to love and be confident in who they are. In addition to providing uplifting products, Beautiful Curly Me also prioritizes giving back to the local community. “10% of all proceeds go to charities that have a focus on the Girl Child in areas of literacy, education and empowerment” (Beautiful Curly Me). It is this passion for giving back that led Zoe to support My Sister’s House at Atlanta Mission.

Inspiring Others Like Her

It all started when Zoe was 6 years old. After noticing that she was different than many of her classmates, Zoe began to struggle accepting herself. She also started to notice that her toy doll did not look like her. While her doll had skin like her, the doll’s hair was straight.

Zoe realized the power that having a doll that looked like her would have on her confidence. Zoe and her mom then began making dolls that girls like Zoe could relate to. This is when Beautiful Curly Me was created.

Donating to My Sister’s House

Beautiful Curly Me created their Gift-A-Doll initiative as a way to provide dolls to underserved girls in Atlanta. On their website, customers have the opportunity to purchase a doll that will be donated directly to the girls at My Sister’s House. Along with the doll, girls will also receive a copy of Zoe’s book, “Beautiful Curly Me”.

This winter, Zoe and her mom brought several donated dolls and books to Atlanta Mission. They were able to provide dolls to all the girls at My Sister’s House. Zoe hopes that these dolls will help promote self-love in the girls at My Sister’s House.

MSH Teaches Children About Self-Love

During the week of February 12th, the children at My Sister’s House focused on the topic of love. One of the subjects the children discussed in class was the importance of self-love. To go along with the learning, children created art projects that affirmed who they are. Many girls used “Beautiful Curly Me” for inspiration.

We are grateful for Zoe’s donation, which has helped girls at My Sister’s House learn about self-love and self-confidence. Thank you, Zoe.
