The Pryors: A Donor Story

Scott and Laura Pryor have been Atlanta Mission donors for more than ten years. After hearing about Atlanta Mission from others, they knew they had to get involved. Though they’ve seen a few changes over the years (a name change from Atlanta Union Mission to Atlanta Mission for one), one thing has remained the same: their belief in what Atlanta Mission is doing in the city of Atlanta. 

“What I like about Atlanta Mission is they don’t want to just hand out a meal, they want to enable a person to support themselves. It’s truly about transforming lives.”

“We’ve talked to other people that have tried to help out with homeless ministries or given to homeless ministries, but it’s mainly just about helping people get off the street and feeding them. Whereas, Atlanta Mission just goes the extra mile. They’re helping them to move past that and have a successful life and recovery.”

As donors of Atlanta Mission, the Pryors have no doubt that the money they give is being used to reach as many people as possible. They love knowing they are not only helping to provide meals and basic needs to those that need it, but Atlanta Mission helps others on a spiritual level as well. 

“Faith is a very central and important part of our lives and so we love being able to put support behind that ministry.”

When you talk to the Pryors, you can tell just how much they want to help others. As donors, they are changing lives – not only through the donations they give, but the events they attend and the prayers they give. They are helping to provide hope to those experiencing homelessness.

“We’re strong believers in the mission and our heart and mind are always with them.”
