The Home Depot Foundation commits to providing services for women and children.

We can’t do what we do without our community of supporters. We are excited to announce a new addition to our diverse web of supporters. The Home Depot Foundation committed to ending homelessness by generously donating $50,000 of grant support to Atlanta Mission.

This grant will provide safety and offer transformative services for women and children facing homelessness. We will serve hundreds of women and children in the upcoming year at two facilities, My Sister’s House and Restoration House (opening summer 2021).

All services will be provided by this grant through our innovative Transformation Model. The services will include emergency and overnight shelter, hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, primary healthcare, addiction recovery programming, trauma-informed mental health counseling, group therapy, life skills classes, access to educational resources, vocational training, job placement and retention coaching, quality childcare, after school and preschool programming for children, assistance with locating permanent housing, and more.

We estimate that this grant will support 238 women and children for one week or 55 women and children for a full month.

Thank you to The Home Depot Foundation for committing to ending homelessness. This gift will change the lives of women and children in our community for years to come.
