Atlanta Mission is the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to homeless men, women, and children, serving more than 7,000 individuals annually.
She never thought it would be her
Melita was one of the thousands facing homelessness in our city.
Melita wasn’t wealthy and worked two jobs, but she was getting by and provided for her family. When her hours were cut, she found herself without a home.
“Everything spiraled out of control. I was so stressed out… we needed a miracle.” Melita said.
With nowhere else to turn, she and her three children came to Atlanta Mission.
The problem
Atlanta is home to over one-third of the state’s homeless population.

From our humble beginnings as a small soup kitchen and 20-bed shelter, we’ve grown to operate four facilities serving Metro Atlanta’s large homeless population.
The Shepherd’s Inn provides men with:
Meals, shelter, counseling, recovery programs, job training, medical, and legal resources.

My Sister’s House provides women and children with:
Meals, overnight shelter, counseling, childcare, recovery programs, job training, medical, and legal resources.
*Services based on availability
Restoration House is coming in 2021.
All women and children’s services are currently held at My Sister’s House.

Long-term recovery, therapeutic programs, GED training, computer literacy, and job training.
